Located just a few steps from the Mediterranean, Villa Miraé places particular importance on protecting the exceptional natural surroundings that define the Cap d’Antibes. In this spirit, the hotel is pleased to announce the signing of the “Zero Plastic Waste” Charter, an initiative led by the Région Sud and coordinated by the Regional Agency for Biodiversity and the Environment (ARBE Région Sud).
Since opening last year, several initiatives have already been implemented to limit plastic use throughout the property:
-
The housekeeping team uses ozonated water for cleaning, reducing the need for traditional cleaning products and the plastic packaging associated with them. Guest amenities are packaged in cardboard, while in-room cosmetics are provided in refillable pump dispensers to avoid single-use formats.
-
The minibar offering has also been reviewed in order to limit single-use plastics.
-
In our restaurants, the choice of fresh, locally sourced products also helps reduce the use of plastic packaging. Some uses remain more difficult to replace, particularly in kitchens or in supplier delivery packaging.
These elements represent the main areas of focus as we continue working to further reduce plastic use. A two-year action plan has therefore been defined to progressively integrate these commitments into the hotel’s daily operations.
